Holistic Development

Everyone knows that habits begin young. It’s a fact of life. Place a device into a young child’s hands, and you have kids who may end up be glued to their screens for their whole lives. Place a football by their feet, and you may find yourself raising a future athlete and an overall healthier and holistically developed individual. Not to mention that kids weaned on digital media find exercise less and less interesting, which leads to sedentary lifestyles and poor physical health.

We’re not saying that technology has no place in their lives. In fact, the right use of applications and digital media can be used as a tool for learning and creativity (The Telegraph, 2018). However, it’s the children that take a balanced approach to technology and physical activity that benefit the most. In fact, research has shown that children who spend less than 2 hours of screen time and did at least 1 hour of physical activity each day had better cognitive development in the areas of language, memory, and concentration (BBC, 2018).

Starting Athletes Young

This is why we are launching our brand new First Kicks football program! The course is specifically designed to train and equip children of ages 4-7 to be healthier and more active, before their mobile devices make them immobile young people. Our sessions are designed in line with the Early Times National Curriculum, ensuring that they develop physically and socially while also having tons of fun out under the sun.

In Tiny Ballerz, we teach them with a fun-first approach. We give a ball to every child, and let them have at it naturally as our coaches lead them through fun themed activities to ensure that the session is energetic, engaging, and safe. Parents are welcomed to watch as their little joys run around giggling as they interact with the course and each other, forming friendships that may last well into their primary years.

Through the program, they develop many skills such as agility and coordination, and other softer things like sociability and drive as they interact with other kids of their age. Every week, our coaches will al so reward one child a trophy for the week for being that week’s star player, teaching our kids the meaning of success and pride in oneself.
