Wildfire Boot Camp

There are a couple reasons why most people stay away from gyms. One, it takes effort and pain. Two, it’s not enjoyable or fun. Three, we’re afraid others will judge us for how we look or how weak our bodies are.

 

While we can’t change the first reason (because all good things in life come and stay because of effort), we CAN change the last two reasons. To fix them, all you need is a good coach or trainer that can lead you through the exercises while giving you motivation, and then a bunch of other folks who are too busy suffering along with you to even have the time to think of judging you!

 

In our Wildfire boot camp sessions, we’re here to pressure coals into bonfires, and over time you’ll be like diamonds: gleaming, and cut flawlessly. Think high-octane, high-intensity, and lots of swearing and sarcasm, that’s how much you’re going to love/hate this. So, if you’re looking for a quick-and-dirty transformation from flab to fab, guided by the best trainers around, then this is the program for you.

 

Also, our research shows that agonizing pain is not at all embarrassing when everyone’s screaming and grunting together! Plus, the camaraderie built at boot camp often extends beyond the workout, and workout buddies often meet up for coffee or brunch after, as conversation flows easier after you’ve seen each other at your respective worsts.

How It’s Done

Now that we’ve either convinced you to stay or sent you running screaming, here’s how we run our Wildfire Boot Camp:

  Wildfire sessions are held on three set days each week, for 10 weeks.

 

  You can join 1, 2, or all 3 sessions each week! It’s completely up to you, but we find that those who show up most frequently get the quickest results.

 

  Every session is comprised of different workout moves, but are planned so that each muscle group is targeted and engaged.

 

  This is done to keep your muscles guessing, which prevents habit formation, to improve results and increase energy consumption (aka. weight loss).

 

  Each session is broken down into several 6-7 minute Burner Blocks, each with its own mix of interval training, toning and strengthening, and core building exercises.

 

  Each exercise is measured in time intervals instead of reps (such as 45 seconds of jumping jacks instead of 45 of them), so that everyone can push their respective limits while keeping momentum, without slowing the class down.

  We also run partner work and team challenges to leverage on competitive adrenaline and help you build new connections and friendships.

 

 

  If you have old injuries or pre-existing conditions, come early to inform him of them so that they will have alternative exercises for you ready (or just show up often enough that they’ll remember you).

 

  Also, because of its intensity, our trainers know to make each session fun and engaging to keep you from burning out. So expect lots of clever jokes and sharp wit to distract you from the exertion.
